ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE
Our Mission is to enhance the lives of 24/7 chained/outside dogs, providing life enhancing supplies & services, including safe, fenced kennels & yards, insulated dog houses, spay/neuter assistance, vaccines, flea/tick prevention, heartworm prevention, food assistance, treats, toys, love & most importantly...owner education. Correcting the problem where it originates decreases the number of homeless & neglected animals. Every dog is worth saving & this is our way of saving them!
Every dog that is set free from a life on the chain immediately changes in behavior. The once sad, miserable, and sometimes aggressive dog quickly becomes filled with life…and most of all hope. It is a very satisfying feeling to watch this transformation. Our charity work is very hard physically and emotionally, but someone has to do it. These beautiful creatures deserve so much more than living like a prisoner on the end of a chain. Have you ever just placed one of those chains over your shoulders? Well, we all tried it and they are very heavy. We do not even know how a dog could move around like that. The weight alone, not to mention the neglect, the starvation, and the sadness would make us want to give up. Somehow though, these miraculous creatures do not give up…they still have hope.
Our non-profit is directed by three, female professionals. It was founded by Gina, while working as a community care, registered nurse in the low-income neighborhoods of Southwest Detroit. As an animal lover, she was shocked to see all of the chained dogs. She started by asking the dog owners if she could bring the dogs some treats. After delivering straw and weekly treat bags filled with various long-lasting chews, bones, and toys she started researching ways to solve some of the reasons why the dogs were chained. The majority were chained because they could jump or climb the short 4-ft fences and some were just diggers. There are also some dog owners that just believe that chaining a dog is what you are supposed to do, it is what they were taught, and they do not believe that dogs have the feelings that they actually do have. With owner permission, Gina, her husband, and her father extended their first 4-ft fence, setting free two very deserving dogs from a life on the chain. Gina stated that the feeling she felt as she watched them immediately become “regular” dogs was so incredible and so rewarding that she had to help more dogs…and this is how C.H.A.I.N.E.D. Inc. began.
We are a non-profit 501c3 organization that strives to enhance the lives of 24/7 chained dogs by providing life-enhancing supplies and services and most importantly owner education. We also work closely with other organizations in order to enhance our services to its fullest and rescue those that need it most. We get as many of the dogs spayed/neutered as possible. Decreasing the breeding will help decrease the number of neglected dogs. 100% of donations go directly to the dogs. All donations are fully tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law. Together we can make a difference. We greatly need supporters like you to continue our work and thank you again from the bottom of our hearts. Our story has just begun…
Your support and contributions will enable us to meet our goals and improve conditions. Your generous donation will fund our mission.
